Faith in God

While at Church singing to God I felt His presence so strongly. Like a warm blanket His love surrounded me. The covering was precious. Later in the day when I proclaimed the hope I have in Him I once again felt as if I entered into the Holy place. As I drew near to God with a sincere heart open to correction, he assured me.

You see I have been standing strong and courageous in my belief that God is going to do some miracle in our country - in our world. Living by faith is hard. But, “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” (Hebrews 11:6) When Noah built the ark it was a holy fear of things unseen. He lived out his faith in what God would do. Today, I have complete faith that God is going to move. You know what I read this morning - “Do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.” (Hebrews 10:35) I wasn’t expecting to be richly rewarded. I was just feeling confident that I needed to persevere in that which God has put upon me.

I’m waiting for Him. “He who is coming will come and will not delay.” (Hebrews 10:37) I don’t know what His plan is and I don’t have the thoughts of God. Yet, I’m sure for what I hope for and absolutely certain there is more than I see. Do you know God says those who live by faith are His righteous ones? Even if things are bleak, He does not want us to shrink back. “By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land.” (Hebrews 11:29) Escaping their enemies. “By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the people had marched around them for seven days.” (Hebrews 11:30) They conquered their enemies. Both were miracles of God, and both were initiated by faith.

I will not shrink back. I will hold onto my confident assurance. Shrinking back would not please God. I will persevere in prayer and hold onto the precious promises of God. He is faithful. With all that I have within me, let me encourage you to have faith in God.
