No More Darkness

I have great hope right now and you can too! I’ve been on a journey that has taught me a lot and I want to start sharing it. There are many parts, so I will post a little at a time. My experience will help me going forward, but more importantly you as well. You can share my great hope right now if you have ears to hear. Do you know how the sun is shining incredibly bright even behind the darkest, blackest, thickest cloud cover above this earth. That is where I want our hope to start. I want us to be so fully aware of the goodness of God that He, the absolute True Light of the World shines so brightly to us that no cold valley or dark shadow can capture us. Jesus said, “I am the Light of the World.” (John 8:12) Do you know the light of the world? I’m coming back to a much deeper place of understanding on who God is. I’m coming back to where his perfect peace radiates my entire life not just some days or some areas. I want a complete breakthrough of Him, to live immersed in the warmth of his loving kindness. To live in the awareness of His great power. The same power that raised Jesus from death is within us… oh yes, He actually resides within us. The Holy Spirit, a gift of confirmation for God’s children. Do you understand God gave us a spirit of power? (If you have not asked Jesus to be your Savior, to save you from your sins this won’t be a reality to you yet. Don’t waste a moment more though, seek Jesus out, knock until he answers. Until you know Him.) This power is a gift God gives us so we can live a life with him. Not alone, but very, very close with Him. Jesus said, “Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) Our close involvement with Him will enable us to live above all circumstances. His light will reflect upon you and therefore you will shine His goodness. Jesus said, “You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14) You! Yes, you, but because Christ lights you. So it’s us, but Christ in us. The answer to the darkness is Jesus.

Time with God is your top priority. Don’t over think it. Here it is laid out simply. First, early in the morning while it’s still dark get on your knees in prayer. Your prayers should praise Him (not because he needs it, but because he deserves it), request your needs, leave your worries with Him, and above all thank Him for all you can think of as time allows. Second, sing a song to God daily because we come into His presence with songs. Finally, bible reading. The word of God is powerful for teaching, correcting, training, encouraging and so much more. This is where God speaks clearly to us.

No matter how much darkness abounds, we have the power to bask in His glorious light.
